Our Nurse Practitioner provides complete primary care and psychiatric care for our homebound patients on a temporary or permanent basis. The home-based medical care minimizes the need for hospitalizations, re-hospitalizations or admissions to long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes and skilled rehabs.

Dr. Catherine Phyllis Nyotta MSN, CRNP-FNP, PMHNP, PhD
I am a board-certified both Family Nurse practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral and mental health problems. I maintain patient records; perform physical exams; order or perform diagnostic tests; prescribe medications; develop treatment plans; and treat acute and chronic illnesses, conditions and injuries that fall under primary care. I have over 15 years of clinical for psychiatric and primary experience.

I would like to say a few words about the care I've received from Dr. Catherine P. Nyotta A year ago I was in Stella Maris Rehab and close to being discharged. I didn't have a primary care physician and needed one to oversee my homecare and sign orders for my home care nurse. I spoke to Catherine about being my primary care since she was already caring for me at Stella. She accepted and began overseeing my care once I was discharged. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and compassionate person to care for me. She has always been available to answer a question or a concern regarding my health and care.
